Company Overview
Health First Community Health Center works to improve your over-all health care. As our name states, your health is our first concern. Health First Community Health Center's mission is to serve as a focal point in the region for increasing access to primary care services and improving the health status of the residents in the communities regardless of financial status.
Our purpose and goal is to develop and implement a system of needed primary care services for the Webster, Hopkins, McLean, Daviess, Henderson, and surrounding counties. We use evidence-based approach to health care.
Company History
Regional Health Care Affiliates, Inc. was a vision of Trover Health Systems that began back in 1982. With the help of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, through the KPCA TA program (Kentucky Primary Care Association), a grant was submitted to HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) to form a Community Health Center in the area.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we provide services for all patients regardless of their ability to pay. Patients pay what they can afford based on their income and family size. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, all major commercial insurance and provide a sliding fee scale for all who qualify.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
Health First CHC has grown from 3 clinics to a total of 8 since the beginning of 2015.
Benefits
•There are 9 federal holidays observed by RHCA. Normally the clinics will be closed on these days. However, providers may work on-call by phone.
•Liability insurance coverage will be provided by RHCA through FTCA.
•License, DEA and certain memberships will be paid for by RHCA as approved by the CEO.
•Other training such as CPR, BLS or ACLS will be paid for and time taken to attend these will be at the expense of RHCA.
•Educational Loan Repayment is possible for qualified individuals that are approved and chosen through the NHSC or KY State Loan Repayment Program.
